My goals, some atc's and thrift finds

Goals for this Year
Goal One:
Concentrate on my careers. In psychology I have 3 interest areas, people suffering from major depression, mothers who are suffering postnatal depression and children who have Autsim.
Goal Two:
Learn more about Buddism. Read heaps of books. Create a little buddha garden for myself and children to enjoy. Go to more learning sessions with my friend Amy and teach my children about it.
Goal Three:
Scrapbook more important layouts and create more art for my home. I want to put on a few scrap parties this year "just for fun". I want to meet new people in the hobby and stay in touch more with my old buddies more.
Goal four:
My home is still in pieces. I want to put those pieces back together this year. I am really looking forward to decorating my house in anarty way and have parties and friends come around. I want my house to be a little piece of heaven, a place, to party, a place to relax and a place to enjoy.
Goal five:
Live more in the moment!!!!! Take more pictures. Enjoy the quiet. Enjoy the fresh air. Enjoy the seasons. Enjoy my children and just enjoy living and > all that life has to offer.

The back of them (so cool)

I brought this cute little wooden container for small supplies. (not sure what yet?)

I heart these mushroom tins!!!

I also brought this cool pottery pot for my gel pens.

New pool and other stuff
I am really happy right > thank god the sickness is behind me. The virus I caught a week or so ago left me in bed for weeks.
Scrapbooking:
I haven't scrapped anything in ages! But for the last few days I have been working on a cute mini allbum that I will post asap.
I did this ATC (below) before I got sick.!!!
I have been spening any internet time I get on flickr. I have already done 1 swap, I have another on the way, and one in the planning stages! So much fun.

My life has been beyond fantastic.
We are really getting on with our house tasks. Last week we got a brand new heater put in. Yesterday we paid the the deposit for the pool we are getting! YES A POOL! It's a huge 7.7m x4.5m!! Wayyyyy big enough for all those pool parties we plan on having. Next week we are painting our walls and hopefully the week after our new kitchen will be put in.
Yesterday as I said Neil and I paid the pool deposit, we went to lunch at the Modbury hotel and then we had a look at Freedom! I love the furniture and decor items at freedom. Neil and I picked out a few items we like but we are going to wait until the new kitchen is put in, the walls are painted the new titles are laid before buying anything

A little Christmas ATC
Category: Christmas
Theme: Decorate
This little baby scanned up bad! I made snow by using think white paint and covering it with embossing powder and a bit of glittler. I added a little in her hand! Around the edges I used red nail polish! (I can't believe how cool nail polish can be). The ivy is stuck on a pop dot with red foil on the cherries :)Labels: ATC

Be at peace with yourself ATC
The background is dark sky paper I cut from an old book. I used peal foil to give it a glowing effect and stuck down these beautiful tiny stars. The queen image has also been cut from a vintage book. I used gold foil for the crown and dress! Ohhh and yet more book paper for the title!

I have been inspired by.......
The concept is fun and amazing!!!!

Facts:
Artist Trading Cards are individual art miniatures which pass hand to hand.
Artists produce miniatures for trade or self-promotion.
The only rule for these cards is their size (2.5 x 3.5 inches, the same as commercial trading cards, such as baseball cards and cards for trading card games).
There are, certain conventions usually observed by those who make and trade these cards, such as the expectation that they be traded, not sold, and that they be created as unique works or small limited editions of prints
Artists generally sign and date the back, and may also include a title and contact information.
The face-to-face trading session is considered an integral part of the concept, although many people find each other via the internet and trade by mail.
Artist Trading Cards are typically made on a base of card stock. However, ATCs have been created on metal, stiffened fabric, plastic, clay, balsa wood, leather, embroidery canvas, acetate, heavy watercolor paper, and many other materials.
The art on the cards can be done in any media: textile arts, pencil, watercolor, acrylic, oil, collage, scratch board, mixed media, assemblage, digital art, calligraphy, beadwork, rubber stamps, carved soft block stamps, pen and ink, colored pencil, airbrush, and many others - anything artists use.
Cool hey :D
