My happiness

Close-up of papers:
I had lots of fun creating this layout! This is my Studio calico October kit, ALL of the papers are from the kit! Most of the papers are basic grey nook and pantry line and october afternoon! (I love em). The layout is about how my mum was a wonderful birthing partner at my son's birth and how I thanked her by letting her be the first one (after me) to hold him. Well, she held him once he was cleaned up and wrapped up like a little burrito! I never foget her just sitting in the massive cane chair in the birthing room, beeming with pure happiness! This photo was perfect for this layout! I cut it so small, so as to focus on my mum and the baby! (and not the clutter around the room).

Thanks so much for looking!!!
I have more layouts to come........

Love Layout!

My Layout:
This is a photo from my childhood! I've scrapping heaps of pics from 70's-80's latelty! This is me in my mum's arms at K-mart in the 1980's. The store was show casing polaird cameras at the time! OMG, lol! How I would love one now! lol! It would be so cool to do a mini album all in polarid photos, so funky and cool I think! (I might just do that). Anyway I really love how this layout turned out! It's another layout from my Studio Calico kit (with a few bits and pieces thrown in for good measure). The scrabble titles are real ;) I put the giraffe in there cos my mum gave me a toy one when I was a baby (and I lost it). Since that time I always relate the giraffe to her and me like a 'mummy and daughter' connection type thing;)
On this layout I only used 1 piece of paper called 'Super Stack' by Sassafras! (On one side it has coloured diamonds and the other side it has some monsters stacked on top of each other). With the coloured diamonds I was able to create two layouts alone, I really love paper like this ;)
Fun, Fun, Fun!!! I have more creations to come!!!
December Studio Calico:
Studio Calico's kit goes live in a few hours for members! I can't wait to see the Decmember kit in all it's glory!!! I'll get in around x-mas day so it will be my x-mas present under the tree for myself. The kits are always a wonderful suprise as u don't pick the stuff and each kit is placed in a brown paper bag with a sticker. Then placed in a box! Ohhhh I can't wait!!!!
Market Place:
I'm still working with Market Place and 4 add-0n's plus soooo many extra emblishments! I was in scrappy heaven when I got it last week! My whole dinning table (6 seats) was covered in new papers (50), emblishments, cardstock, new paints, mists, new Tim Holtx inks and so much more. Omg heaven, heaven, heaven!! I have done 3.5 layouts so far and all very different from each other! One of the kits (called bazzar) had wood in it so I used that, omg, so weird but I love working with different things! So mush fun to see what u can come up with!!
Christmas:
Cards and goals:
Is such a super busy, super stressful time of year! I have finished my x-mas cards, they are just very boring angel cards! I'm really not into putting a lot of 'time' into cards. I've never really been a 'card maker'. I'd much rather hand make a simple one then buy one, so I'm glad I've made them now! Right now I've put some of my x-mas decorations up. Owen is having a sleep over at pop's house so Caleb, Niall and I will put up the tree tommorrow. I also wanna thread popcorn to wrap around the tree (I did that as a kid with coloured popcorn) and make ginger bread men to hang on the tree! So that's my first x-mas goal I want to complete!
A Child in need:
My second goal is this: Every year I pick a child in need and make them up a present! This year I have a 6 year old girl called Jasmine. Her parents don't have much and have been going thru hell this past year! So I have chosen her as my special child!!! I brought an awesome wooden vintage craddle and have painted it candy pink!!! OMG it looks awesome! Next I'm going to paint a layer of red pearl paint (see thru paint) and then I may give a little mist! I have these awesome AC aqua glitter letters that I'm going to use to write her name on the top headboard of the craddle!! That way it's personal!!! I then going to put a little pillow in the cradle with a blanket!! I'm not sure if I'm going to put a baby doll or bear in the craddle yet! I saw these beautiful bears that have heaps of awesome outfits to go with it! If I get her the bear I'll pick a girl bear and buy her two outfits, being a pink a dress with awesome little shoes and the other a pair of pj's with slippers so she can put the bear to sleep in the craddle!!! If I get her a baby doll, I'll make her up a nappy bag, with little nappies, wipes, a baby wrap, a pair of pj's, a little rattle, bottle, bowl spoon and bib.
Which one sounds better>?????

i hEarT YoU

{To see the detail, please click on the layout!}

This one of my favourite layouts I have done in a long while! (Steph Devin) took the pic for me, thank you darling! It took me about 10 hours just to create the frame. It's rolled up pieces of paper, that have been joined together with both double sided tape (to hold the rolls together) and PVA glue to stick it onto the layout! 99% of the layout is Sassafras products ;)

Baby Boy!
I got to see Janine today and her beautiful baby boy Ashton! Man he is soooo yummy, I just adore his sweet little features! I hope you like the present sweetie, I can't wait until we can scrap together! :)

Shopping
After leaving Janine's house I went shopping for a little while. I brought a few nice little x-mas decorations for my house. I brought a masive silver bow and some star lights, for my bookcase in my dinning room (which holds my scrap stuff now). I decorated my ikea lamp like a little x-mas tree, which I love. I have my girl (Lisa) and boy(Niall) dolls (which are beautiful and handmade dolls I brought on etsy) in my lounge room as a centre pieces. They seat on a wooden cabinet next to my ikea lamp. I brought them x-mas hats and coats ;) They look awesome, I'm so happy! Once I have cleaned up my WHOLE house (the way I want) I'm getting my boys to put up our x-mas tree and decorate their room to! It's getting closer and closer to x-mas!

Crafts
I have almost finished making my -xmas cards! Niall alone has a family of 13 members, OMG! They are simple angel cards! (I'm not a big card maker plus the fact that the more complicated I make the card design the more complicated the rest of them have to be). I brought some little red balls for my (ikea) lamp tree and placed all little foils stars over them, it's very simple but very effective. I plan on making a few x-mas banners for my lounge room. One in my entrance hallway which will read "Merry Christmas" (in a x-mas theme). I might do little wrapped up presents with bows. I'd also like a banner in my lounge room but which hangs down and says "JOY"! In the background on the walls I plan on buying some wooden stiching rings and placing some red and green fabric inside to hang on the walls. I also wanna get the boys to draw some x-mas pics and I will frame them and mix them in amoungst the fabric frames. I think it will create a nice homey look, which the Joy, fabric frames and pictures :)

Ok I think cleaning the house, putting up the x-mas tree and decorations, finishing off the x-mas cards, the two banners, and putting up the fabric and drawing frames will keep we busy! When that's finished I'll just..

Well I'll just have to plan some more.....

A look back.....

("I am hand creating a banner for above")

I only post my layouts once, so I though I would take a journey back to all my 8.5x11 layouts! I have had a ball with this size :) Inspired by my buddy Steph, I have posting my layouts on scrapbook.com, Scrapin Style Tv, plus flickr, my blog, Studio Calico and two peas and it's been fun sharing again!

This is my Bubble Beard layout I created in October of 2007, two years ago! I love this photo soooo much! It brings back great memories! I used to bath with my baby boys and do all sorts of crap to them, like putting bubbles on their face (bubble beards) and in their hair (creating punks).

Bit's and pieces!

Niall and I looked after 5 kids last night! Omg! It's hard work! We had my kids (7 and 9), my ex partners wifes two kids (6 and 10) and their 13 month old baby together! I asked to look after them!! The baby is totally yummy and I mean I love them to death!!!! We had lots of fun and the baby was easy but I think the only problem was that we aren't used to so many kidlets and the noise! OMG! The night is ok for me but I HATE MORNINGS! I just DON'T DO THEM!!! I love getting up to a peaceful, quite house in the morning! It takes my brain to long to get working in the morning!

Anway tonight will be great, just dinner out, just the two of us! Tommorrow night we'll be watching this movie below! I love thillers, I think it sounds great!

Set in Australia in a remote fishing town, happily married Rob and Jess have been trying to have a baby for three long years and she is becoming desperate. In a drunken mistake, she sleeps with Evan, a young stranger come to town whose interest in her borders on the obsessive. The day she discovers she is pregnant, Jess' guilt turns to horror as Evan begins a terrifying transformation from stalker to psychopath, determined to prove paternity of the child and claim.

Studio Calico!
I don't even have October's kit and November's kit is on sale next week! Niall tell's me don't worry, you'll have twice as much to play with! It's true, but he just doesn't understand that scrapbook mama's aren't happy when there packages arrive late, real late! I remember when I used to do a twopeas order that would take about 5 days to arrive! What's up with Australia post>? Has it changed>? Maybe my box may have been caught up in Sydney as it's happened once before, but that was like nearly 7 years ago! It's taken almost 3 weeks to arrive! I should get my bloody kit on Monday! It's packed fill with $250 worth of product! Three kits, lots of extra papers, cardstock, heaps of coloured floss and 6 maya road mists! It better come!

Ok below is November sneek peak!

This is markplace the main kit:

This add-on 1 called street fair:

This is add-on 2 called fleamarket:

This a add-on 3 called bazzar:

My boys!
Owen got his orange belt in karate last Sunday! He's good real good at fighting, he loves it!

This is Caleb do long jump at sports day on Friday!

He had number 14 below and scored himself 1st place! Plus he won another 2nd place for running 70m! He almost won! (lost by a half a foot) I think went wayyy to fast at the start!
I'm so proud of them both! That are doing good at sport but more important both the boys are super intelligent!

Baby Butt's

I created this with the Septembers Cotillion kit from studio calico! It was my first LO I attempted! Everything is from the kit except the beads, sequins glitter and the lady head charm. The photo of me is on the right (taken 1978) and my DS is on the left (taken 2002).
I love comparing pics at the same age and I think it's even better to scrapbook them! (Even though Caleb doesn't look anything like me it's still fun).
I did a string of beads and sequins down the side to give it a fun look! (It has posted small so click for a close up). Or I have posted here on flickr! It looks better on a white background! http://www.flickr.com/photos/42467022@N05/3995304990/
(click for a close up)
Mt title and my bead/sequin rope! ;)

My journalling is in the clear pocket!

ps: I have two more LO's to share from this kit :)

Finally a layout post!

I am soooo happy I got my scanner working again! It was always working but I lost the programe disk! I forgot that I installed it on my laptop! Soooo happy, that I don't have to take bloody crappy pictures again! (only of my mini albums which I HATE doing).

My layout:
Ok, I create this using this layout using this kit. http://lisale-ray.blogspot.com/2009/08/studio-calico-august-kit.html It's Studio Calico's September kit! It's a pretty simple LO, it didn't take to long, which is great! I got this little frame stamp in the main kit so I, stamped out heaps of frames and cut them up, inked them and placed small bits of patterned paper in them. I got a Jenni Bowlin pad so I used it to create two journalling pads, one for journalling before and after my birthday! ;) I love these little basic grey woolies, they are sooooo cute and perfect for LO's with kidlets in them!

My birthday:
December last year (2008), me, Niall and the boys went out for a simple family dinner. After when we got home Niall brought out this pretty and very girly cake (which I thought was super sweet). Niall brought me a pair of gold triangle earrings. (they are amazing and super funky and very me). I was shocked that he picked them out for me. The boys got me two boxes of chocolates and covered the family room in little notes and pictures for me! (So when I got up I would be suprised.) So cute! !

(Below: My Layout. My favourite colour to scrap in is now yellow, I love it)
(A close up of the journalling. Which is very simple. There is about two A4 pages of journalling.
I have cut up each word and stuck it down on the pad paper. I really love doing this now. Even though it does take an hour or so to do it! I want it to fit perfectly on the pad!)

This is a close up of the stamp frame cut up and a piece of pattered paper inside.
It's so simple and fun to do! Studio Calico sell the stamps for about $3.00 us dollars!

Ohhhh I love the joy of sharing, my scrapbooking but more importantly my life, with you my friends and others out there.......... ;)

JoY

I did this layout a while back! It's about the day we got our second puppy called Sophie a pure shitzu. I took the two older boys (Callum and Owen) to pick her out! They loved her, she was a big fat ball of fluff that just wanted to play. I think there is a great big list of things that you should try and achieve in a life time and one of them I believe is getting the chance to look after a baby animal. In this case it's a puppy! Even though the puppy stage only lasts a little while, they memories it creates last a life time.

*Sorry about the shitty scan's! I am using another camera as something's wrong with my Nikon SLR camera (not happy). I think it might be the battery > It may have got wet when I re-chargered it! Grrrr!!!*

Our weekend so far and my fur baby!

WEEKEND:
On the way home from school yesterday I decided to not only cook a nice lasange for tea but to decorate the table pretty! I went around the shops with the boys after school and picked up the stuff for tea, a bunch of flowers for the table, a candle for a centre piece and some pretty glass tea lights. With a pretty vintage table cloth, flowers and candles the table looked so pretty. We had a yummy lasange for dinner and some peanutbutter and white choc chip icecream for dessert (the best icecream on the face of this earth). A nice and relaxing start to the night! After dinner we (all four of us watched TV) and went to bed.
Today was the best day ever, it was just soooo relaxing! Niall and my boys put up our pool fence (they only have 1 more panel to go) and I watched some movies and scrapped in the lounge room all day long with Mia (my dog) next to me. We went out for tea tonight together and now we are just chillin out! Niall is sleeping on the lounge, me on the puter and the boys are watching cartoons on foxtel.

ETSY:
I recieved a few etsy packages this week! I got 1 pack of stamps and some prints (another post below). I'm still waiting on some other stamps, some astro boy prints, a print for my laundry and my cute boy dolly which the lady finished today!
Mia:
I want to buy Mia some Pj's as it's cold at night in our room! But while I was looking on etsy for Pj's I came across sooooo many sweet dresses for her!!! I can't wait for warm spring and summer when we can take her out to cafes! She is the most behavioured dog EVER! My dog would sit in a bag or on your lap if you told her. She's brillant and has a beautiful personality! She can be shy with people she doesn' know but she is very social when she warms up to you! She wears Pj's at night, dresses when we go out and about and simple T-shirts/dresses at home! I have her hair cut back VERY short and she is tiny!!!! so she gets really cold in winter and at night! (I'll take some more pics of her soon).

This is my favourite pic of her below, with her red bow on her head:

........and these are some cute puppy pics of her! If you know me, you know just how much I adore this dog!!! There is nothing I wouldn't do for her!

There are 4 etsy ladys who make awesome doggy clothes! I brought these all from one lady tonight! 2 set of PJ's and two cute comfortbale dresses she can wear around the house. I got these pics of the ladys etsy site! http://www.etsy.com/purchases.php If you have a dog the Pj's cost $20 us dollars and the dresses are $18.

Cute hey and I love the models! ;)

I can't decided?......and the hospital visit!

I just can't decided which one of these beautiful beeswax canvas prints I want to buy! (They cost $75.00 US dollars it's 12x12 inch). I want to hang it in my lounge room!

This one below is beautiful! I used to swing all the time as a child! I have brown hair and brown eyes and I wore a yellow dress similar to the one below! :) ...........and it has a huge focal point (the girl on the swing) which will stand out heaps in my lounge room! ;)

It's on cavas and the print has a layer of beewax so cool!

I really really love this one (below) but I think in a large lounge room the picture has no large image to give it a real good focal point. For this reason it wouldn't stand out as much!

This one is stunning and it has a large enough focal point! (the girl)

This one is also awesome (but I prefer the one above).
I brought these awesome funky arse ru-on's I can't wait to get these little babies!
and these stickers which are dying to be in my mini books aren't you babies! :)

My youngest boy Caleb ended up at the hospital two nights ago as he split his nose (and I mean split his nose) ou our heater! I had to rush him up to the womens and childrens hospital to see the plastics doctor! He covered it with paper stiches and we have to go back again on Monday to see what else needs to be done! I feel for him as it will scar but my baby runs around the house (like a typical boy) being silly all the time. Ohhh well he is a boy what more can I expect!

Monkey Man

Monkey Man LO! It isn't a good pic sorry! But this LO has soul. LO is about my boys struggle at school with his behaviour! Yesterday he got diagnosed with ADHD and ODD opositional defiance disorder. He behaviours well at home but can't function at school! It's strange because he is soooo smart. (He's IQ is very high). We are going to put him on a strict diet and maybe medication if that doesn't help! I love him to bits! While Owen is my super serious child, Caleb will always but my funny, crazy, little monkey.
Creating the LO! I painted around the edges of the LO (with metalic green/blue) and chopped them slightly. I cut some sequins in half and added them around the border. I also added blue metalic thread, black and white spotted ribbon and metal mesh ;) The coloured glittler circles are made of chipboard. I couldn't fit the photo or journalling on the page so I cut them to fit. I made grass with green ribbon, green wool, and bits of shread paper.
Wesa!
